Onalaska, WI, For Immediate Release – Celebrate Onalaska has been rescheduled to September 5, 2020 due to concerns over public safety with the current Covid-19 pandemic . The celebration was originally scheduled to take place June 26-27, 2020. The committee met with city officials and event partners over the last couple of months to determine if we keep the event as originally scheduled, scale the event back to only the fireworks, reschedule to a later date, or cancel the 2020 event. The committee has made the decision to reschedule the event and will begin working out the details. The event will take place at the School District of Onalaska athletic field complex located on Riders Club Road near the Onalaska Omni Center.
The Festival Foods Salute to the Fourth of July Fireworks originally scheduled for June 27 will now take place on Saturday, September 5. The committee is focusing efforts on coordinating other activities and entertainment to be added to the line-up. More information will be available at celebrateonalaska.com and the Celebrate Onalaska Facebook page as more is added to the schedule.
