DESCRIPTION:Show us your decorating skills! \nThe City of Onalaska is celebrating its 175th Anniversary in 2026\, the same year America is celebrating its 250th Anniversary. \nTo showcase pride in your city and nation\, a city-wide decorating contest is being held. Beginning June 1\, registration will be open to compete in any of the following categories: \n\nHome/Yard Decorating (Theme of America’s 25oth Anniversary)\nHome/Yard Decorating (Theme of Onalaska’s 175th Anniversary)\nBeautiful Yard (no theme\, colorful flowers\, pretty landscapes)\n\nJudging will be based upon execution of theme\, originality of design\, and curb appeal. \nTimeline: \nJune 1-24: Registration open online at https://www.onalaskawi.gov/175th \nJune 25-26: Judging will take place \nJune 27: Winners will be announced at 9:30 A.M. during the Lions Club Pancake Breakfast at the Omni Center. *Do not need to be present to win. \nRules: \nHomes and gardens that are professionally decorated or landscaped should not enter the contest. \nHome/yard must be located with the City of Onalaska to be eligible. \nPrizes will be announced at a later date.

SUMMARY:Onalaska's 175th Anniversary Medallion Hunt
DESCRIPTION:Get your thinking caps on and grab your sneakers for the 175th Anniversary Medallion Hunt. \nThe medallion hunt will take place June 15 through June 24\, 2026\, offering participants the opportunity to explore the community\, test their problem-solving skills\, and compete for prizes. \nThe first clue will be released on June 15 with a new clue released daily\, guiding participants closer to the hidden medallion. Daily clues will be shared through the City of Onalaska’s Facebook page and website. \nResidents and visitors of all ages are encouraged to participate. The medallion will be hidden in a publicly accessible location within the City of Onalaska. The first person to locate the medallion and follow the instructions provided will be eligible to claim the $250 cash prize. \nThank you to Bridget Thomas – Raven Realty for sponsoring our very first medallion hunt.
