Plans are coming together for the 2018 Celebrate Onalaska. Coordinators are working on schedules for the two day celebration set for June 22 and 23. Planning for the next year has traditionally taken place after the first of the year but the committee believed that with the enthusiasm from a successful weekend in 2017 planning would move right along. “We’re working on entertainment and schedules earlier than we’ve traditionally done it”, said Erik Sjolander, a member of the planning committee. “The feedback from this year was highly positive from the entertainment, the activities and the food. Aside from a rainstorm that halted music for a couple of hours on Saturday the weekend met or exceeded our expectations.”

The committee has signed two entertainment acts for next year’s celebration. Announcements on both will be released in upcoming weeks. One of Onalaska’s long-standing traditions will take place on Saturday, June 23 with the Festival Foods Salute to the Fourth of July Fireworks. The fireworks will begin at 9:45 PM at the School District of Onalaska sports fields adjacent to the Omni Center.

The foundation of Celebrate Onalaska is built on the generosity of businesses and people in our community. The goal since day one has been to provide the community with a weekend of great entertainment and fun activities at very little or no cost to attend or participate. No button or ticket is required to attend Celebrate Onalaska.
