The City of Onalaska is celebrating its 175th Anniversary in 2026, the same year America is celebrating its 250th Anniversary.

To showcase pride in your city and nation, a city-wide decorating contest is being held. Beginning June 1, registration will be open to compete in any of the following categories:

• Home/Yard Decorating (Theme of America’s 25oth Anniversary)
• Home/Yard Decorating (Theme of Onalaska’s 175th Anniversary)
• Beautiful Yard (no theme, colorful flowers, pretty landscapes)

Judging will be based upon execution of theme, originality of design, and curb appeal.

Timeline:

June 1-24: Registration open online at https://www.onalaskawi.gov/175th

June 25-26: Judging will take place

June 27: Winners will be announced at 9:30 A.M. during the Lions Club Pancake Breakfast at the Omni Center. *Do not need to be present to win.

Rules:

Homes and gardens that are professionally decorated or landscaped should not enter the contest.

Home/yard must be located with the City of Onalaska to be eligible.

Prizes will be announced at a later date.
