Tabasco Cat shares its name with a famed race horse, and the band is as hot-blooded and high-spirited as any thoroughbred that ever kicked up its heels. The founder and cornerstone of the Onalaska/La Crosse-based band is Jimbo Zill, who has made a name for himself as an ace guitarist/vocalist in the La Crosse region playing in bands including Stumpwater, the BoZills, Low Rider, River Witch, and Actual Size. Other cats in the band include Randy Erickson (guitar, harmonica and vocals), Tycho DeBoer (bass guitar and vocals) and Josh Runyon (drums), and together they cook up a tasty, fun and funky gumbo of rock, blues and country rock, spicing up classic favorites as well as serving up songs they cooked up themselves.
